The “Outras Bandeiras” series is born from the transposition of nautical language into the grammar of human relations. The project takes as its starting point the visual rigor of maritime signaling flags — codes of silent communication that operate in the stillness of harbors — to hoist alerts about the drifts and anchorages of our own humanity.The Harbor as Pause and Manifesto. While the original maritime flags inform the status of a vessel (dangerous cargo, need for assistance, maneuver in progress), “Outras Bandeiras” signal states of mind, social fractures, and ethical necessities. By appropriating this system of signals, the work removes the word from the chaotic flow of daily life and places it upon a mast of visibility: here, the harbor is not merely a place of rest, but the stage for a necessary declaration
